"Making artists play together on a same track who would had never met otherwise." House is this strange cooking of different flavours, able to make Loleatta Holloway sing on strings loop from Tchaïkovski's Concerto N°1, backed by the "Let no man put asunder" bassline from First Choice and the "Let's all chant" disco beat from Michael Zager Band. And it works. Bon appétit ! Back to 88, when I've discovered House music, with the first british House tracks (Beatmasters, S-Express...) made with sampling technique, followed by the brillant 90's Garage productions by the late Godfather Frankie Knuckles. A golden era. All those pionneers have built my inspiration. That's the reason why my tracks mix Garage harmonies with sampling collage coming from my collection of oldies and classic records (disco, funk, soul, classical music, etc.)

I was born in Quebec, Canada. Very young, I developed an interest in dance music, it was always the most rhythmic songs that held my attention on the radio. My first 12 '' I bought was “Love Is In Control” by Donna Summer in 1982, but it was in 1987 that I really started my vinyl collection at a store named Import-O-Son where I also learned the basis of DJing. In 1988 I bought my first mixer that I connected with two family’s turntables. In 1990, I bought my own sound system and my own turntables, I was then addicted. In 1991, I began my series of mix tape called Martymix. I was selling for the bargain price of... $7. I also started my short DJ career; I was doing occasional replacement in a club for teenagers. I also made some mobile disco parties, my biggest being the Christmas party of policemen and firefighter of Quebec City. In 1994, a fire severely damaged my vinyl collection and my sound system. Also, having to start from scratch ended my DJ aspirations. I did get the opportunity to work with Beaugarte’s DJ Christian Pelletier in Ste-Foy. I remember once on a Monday night when there was a lot more customers than usual, I was requisitioned to play music to people who wanted to dance (there was never a DJ or dance on Mondays). This was my last live performance. I eventually returned to school in computer science and started my real career in life. In 2012, being nostalgic of DJing, I bought a small iDJ console to get back in the "beat", but it was not until early 2014 that I really got to work producing a mix of my favorite 50 songs of the year 2013. I then got the idea of reproducing my Martymix tapes with my console, and later launched my series club-a-holic to get in today’s sounds. Although today's technologies greatly facilitate the work of the DJ, I always have great pleasures behind my console and my computer trying to create the best transitions for my listeners.

https://zeno.fm/radio/dj-zoli-radio/ https://onlineradiobox.com/uk/djzoli/?cs=sk.europa2 https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/ZoltanKovacs75 https://youtube.com/@deejayzoli?si=CXWtfJKwdTxBkdBT My name is **DJ Zoli**, and for nearly 15 years, my life was deeply intertwined with the world of discos and music. I was born 49 years ago and have been close to music since childhood. As a young man, I decided I wanted to become a DJ. **My professional start** came in 1993. That’s when I fully committed to mixing and creating music for discos and club events. My distinctive style and energetic performances quickly won me popularity, and I gradually became a familiar face in the local club circuit. **During my career**, I had the amazing opportunity to travel and perform on various stages. These experiences enriched me immensely, not just musically but also as a person. I learned to feel the crowd’s energy, and my mixing skills became my trademark, propelling me to the top of the local DJ scene. **After years spent in the prime of my career**, I felt in 2008 that it was time for a change. I decided to end my active DJ career and devote myself to other interests and responsibilities. Though I no longer play at major events today, my passion for music and mixing still burns within me. **I’m still part of** our local music community, and I’m proud of what I’ve achieved for DJ culture. I poured immense effort and heart into my musical journey. And my greatest reward is knowing that my music and my work continue to inspire people even today. Because **music is eternal**.

Always been in a relationship with Music and enjoy any involvement in listening to, making or mixing, and that has been the case as long as I can remember. I Dont claim to be the best mixer in the world but love the process and have been more than a little excited by the reaction of mates and acquaintances. I initially started loading them up on the net as I was being asked to copy the music and give out discs etc. Just seemed much simpler this way. As I said I have always loved music and have written tracks working with great local producers over the years although I tend to just write lyrics these days As far as Mixing goes I have a residency in my bedroom most weekends occasionally play in my kitchen and in talks about maybe getting my kit set up in my living room Joking aside, it is very much a hobby but still take it reasonably seriously and always seem to be listening out to tunes that I feel will benefit my record collection. Anyway, please give my mixes a try and if you like them feel free to comment and/or download, thats what they are there for.

I've been DJing since the early 80s and have always had a passion for dance music. When Covid killed the events industry in 2020, I've been creating DJ friendly edits of songs I enjoy and songs I play at events just to help me from going crazy. I hope you enjoy them. If you do, give them a like and maybe a follow! Thanks, Alexander
